The short version: Courtside is local-first. Your venue's bookings, customers, and revenue data live in your own browser on your own device — not on our servers. We couldn't sell or leak your business data even if we wanted to, because we don't hold it.
Who we are
Courtside is built and operated by RJ Cabansay, an independent developer in the Philippines. Contact: rjamscxx@gmail.com. We follow the principles of the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
What we collect (very little)
When you sign up for a trial: your name, email address, and venue name are sent to us by email so we know you joined and can help you get set up. That's the only time data leaves your device automatically.
When you use the contact form: whatever you type in it, delivered to our email.
That's it. No analytics trackers, no advertising pixels, no cookies for tracking.
What stays on YOUR device (everything else)
All bookings, schedules, customer names and phone numbers, payment statuses, revenue figures, and settings are stored in your browser's local storage on your device.
Payment-proof screenshots uploaded by your customers are stored in your browser's local database on your device.
Your admin PIN is stored only as a salted cryptographic hash — never as plain text, and never sent anywhere.
Backups you export are files on your device. You choose where they go. They contain your customer data — store them somewhere private (e.g., your own Google Drive).
Your customers' data — your responsibility
When your customers book a court, their name and phone number are saved on your device, not ours. Under the Data Privacy Act, you are the personal information controller for your customers' data. Practical advice: set an admin PIN, use a device passcode, and keep backup files private.
Payments
Courtside never touches money. The booking page shows your own GCash/BPI/GoTyme QR codes; payments go directly from your customer to you. We never see, process, or take a cut of any transaction.
Third-party services we rely on
Vercel hosts the website files (they see standard server logs like IP addresses, as any host does).
FormSubmit relays signup notifications and contact-form messages to our email.
Google Fonts serves the typefaces. The marketing page streams video from Pexels' CDN.
Your rights
You can ask us anytime to see or delete the little we hold about you (your signup email, basically) — just email us. Everything else is already in your hands: your data is on your device, exportable as a backup or CSV anytime, and deleting it is as simple as wiping the app's data in Settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Significant changes will be announced to active venues by email.
